South Families,

Welcome to South Middle School! We are thrilled to embark on another year of growth, discovery, and community. At South, our primary goal is to create a truly student-centered learning environment where every individual—students, staff, and families—is seen, heard, and valued.

Middle school is a season of immense personal growth. We believe that an inclusive, positive culture is the essential foundation our students need to feel safe while taking on new academic and personal challenges.

Creating this thriving space isn't something we do alone; it is a shared responsibility. It takes our entire school community working hand-in-hand to build this environment. When we unite to support and uplift our youth, we create a powerful network that prepares our students to be productive, compassionate citizens. Together, we can achieve great things.

To ensure every student reaches their full potential, we are focusing our energy on two main pillars:

• Academic Growth: We are committed to a strong academic focus, building both foundational and advanced skills in Reading, Writing, and Math.
• Consistent Attendance: Because "Every Day Counts," we are deeply focused on attendance. We know that when students feel a strong sense of belonging, they want to be here—and being present for every learning opportunity is key to their success.
